Roman road

A Roman road in Antioch of Pisidia. We only had about 45 minutes to look around Antioch of Pisidia because the last bus we needed to catch at Yalvaç was going to leave in about one hour. We woke up a taxi driver sleeping in the back seat of his taxi, who took us the 3 km, but when we got there we realized that there were no other taxis in sight. We didn’t have time to walk. Jeff got the driver and drew times and arrows on a business card to get him to pick us back up at 17:45. The driver looked at his watch and wrote “17:45?” Jeff wrote down “Otogar” and “18:00” underlining it. The driver shook his head yes and wrote 7 Lira. Jeff paid him and he drove away. After a brief visit to the city we stood at the gate a little nervous, but sure enough the driver was on time to pick us up. He proudly tapped his clock to show Jeff  “17:43” with a smile.
