Travels in Turkey

Our walk on the St. Paul Trail.

Roman road

The main Roman roads in the city. There were holes where they would put up lamps to light the city street. The city used to have water running lightly into the city streets to keep the city cool and they would have small crevices in the street so you would not fall down walking on the wet street. Water was a sign of wealth.
