Barla

Our taxi driver from Egridir to Barla took us to this little shop where we could get water to start our hike. The family was very nice. We were able to buy bottled water and a candybar that was like a Kit Kat. Ang was able to use the water closet which was a porcelain hole in the ground (no toilet paper) and a sink with soap (no towel). We showed the people there our postcards of Arkansas and handed out a bracelet and tootsie rolls. The lady who ran the shop gave Ang some rose soap that Ang carried all the way home. The family wanted us to send them a copy of this photo and gave us their address. We were only allowed to take a picture of them from the waist up, however.
