Hadrian's Gate

Hadrian’s Gate In Antalya — We went through the gate to get from our pension in the old city to the modern city. Hadrian’s gate is the only remaining gate of Antalya and was built inside the city’s walls in honor of the visit of Emperor Hadrianus in 130 A.D. There were probably statues of the Emperor and his family on top of the arch. The gate underwent restoration in 1959.
